Shashlik

It is a delicious grilled meat, most often prepared from leaner meat with the size of medium-sized cubes. This Caucasian specialty is usually marinated for a few minutes before being placed on hot coals. Shashlyk most often consists of alternating pieces of meat, e.g. pork neck and belly with or without the bone and is marinated with lots of onions, salt and crushed black pepper. This short marinating time will guarantee that the fresh cut meat will retain its own taste, be soft and juicy.
